The plain-language rules for buying a Press Start Kit from Launch Tavern.
1. Who we are
Launch Tavern is operated by Russell Turrey, doing business as Launch Tavern ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@launchtavern.com.
2. What you are buying
The Press Start Kit is a written, human-checked launch kit for one indie game on Steam and/or itch.io: store copy, tag recommendations, a pitch email, a verified genre-matched creator list, a launch-week social plan, a trailer beat sheet and a launch checklist. We write it from your intake form and your public pages.
3. Price and payment
The Press Start Kit costs $149. The founding price is $49 for the first 10 orders, in exchange for a testimonial (see section 9). Payment is taken up front through Stripe.
4. Delivery and revisions
We aim to deliver within 48 hours of receiving your completed intake form, by email. Each kit includes one revision round. Our refund policy explains what happens if we are late or you change your mind.
5. Your materials
You confirm you have the right to share what you send us (text, images, links, builds). You let us use them only to make your kit. We do not publish your unreleased materials.
6. Who owns the kit
Once you have paid, the kit is yours. Use, edit and publish it however you like. We may keep a copy for our records and to handle revisions.
7. No guarantees of results
We do not promise wishlists, sales, press coverage or creator replies. A better store page and a good pitch help, but results depend on your game, timing and many things outside our control.
8. The creator list and outreach
The creator list contains public information (channel and site names, public links and public contact routes), checked on the date shown. Creators change their focus and contact details, so check before you send. We do not contact creators for you. You are responsible for your own outreach, including following each platform's rules and any email laws that apply to you.
9. Founding testimonials
If you buy at the founding price, you agree to give a short, honest testimonial after delivery. We will not publish any wording, or your name or game, without your approval of the final text. A testimonial is never required for a refund.
10. Sample kits
Sample kits on this site are unsolicited examples made from public information. They are not affiliated with or endorsed by the developers named.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a kit is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales.
12. When we may decline
We may decline any order, for example a game we cannot fairly write for, and refund it in full.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you paid applies to your order.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA.
